101 COLLECTORS’ RECORDS is one of those second-hand record shops that are becoming increasingly harder to find these days. Originally established in Farnham in 1991, the shop stocks an astoundingly diverse range of music in all genres and most formats. From Led Zeppelin to Louis Prima, Otis Redding to Philip Glass, 1940’s Swingbilly to the latest DJ Breaks, I will have something that hits the spot on vinyl, CD, or Music DVD. While the business is predominantly buying and selling second hand music, 101 Collectors’ Records also deals in new material: both new releases and back catalogue re-issues. Due to the rapid turnover (well, a man can hope) this website is not designed to carry a comprehensive stocklist. However, please feel free to contact me by phone on 01252 734409 (10am – 5:30pm) or my email, and I will be pleased to help you with your enquiries and wish lists. SUPPORT THE INDIES! Andy Hibberd

Acorn opened its doors to the public for the first time in 1973 and has been serving the local community from that time until the present day. At first, we were known as Acorn Records but the name was later changed to Acorn Music to reflect the wider range of products stocked. The business has remained under the same ownership throughout, and its philosophy has always been to offer a wide range of music at competitive prices whilst offering a first class standard of service. We have thousands of CDs in stock covering a wide musical spectrum and Acorn has always been noted for its huge range of Rock and Pop from early Rock N Roll right up to the latest releases. There is also a large Classical Music section and plenty to choose from in Jazz, Blues, Folk, Country, Reggae and World Music along with loads of music DVDs including live concerts, videos and documentaries. We have been ordering CDs and DVDs for customers over many years and if we don’t have it in stock we’ll do all we can to obtain it for you. Who are Action Records? Action Records has been established since 1979, starting off on a stall in Blackpool just as the independent music scene was emerging. From there we soon opened a site in Preston, where we have been ever since. We are members of all specialist independent chains; therefore we are offered all limited editions and special offers including quantity on all Record Store Day releases. We have always been at the forefront of music trends throughout the years, and we’ve also established our own record label, releasing records by bands such as The Boo Radleys, Dandelion Adventure, Big Red Bus, Genocides, Tompaulin, Fi-Lo Radio, Monkey Steals The Drum amongst others. Our biggest project so far has been with The Fall and Mark E Smith as a solo performer. The shop is open 9.00am till 5.30pm Mon-Sat. We have a fax line and on-line service which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unlike most mail order advertisers, visitors to our shop are always welcome.
