Ransom Note Records is a new record shop in East London evolved into a bar and restaurant now too.
It is a lovingly curated supply of second-hand house, techno, hi-NRG, italo, new wave, synth, boogie, disco, funk and soul.
You’ll also be able to find all releases on the Ransom Note Records record label. There is an in-house turntable technician “for all your deck surgery needs”.
Drawing on Aiden’s extensive knowledge of electronic history – honestly, what this man doesn’t know about dance music isn’t worth knowing – the shop will feature a lovingly curated supply of second-hand House, Techno, Hi-NRG, Italo, New Wave, Synth, Boogie, Disco, Funk and Soul. You’ll also be able to find all new releases from the Ransom Note Records imprint – home to the likes of Bawrut, C.A.R. and Marlon Hoffstadt – plus constantly updated stock from a carefully selected batch of our favourite labels.
Situated in a brand new railway arch space in Forest Gate, the shop will also be home to resident Turntable Technician Neil Macey, the man for all your deck surgery needs. Hugely experienced in the field, Neil has set up and designed systems across the globe, and bought and sold more records than we’ve ever seen.
