Plastic Wax is Bristol’s longest established record shop and has the largest selection of used vinyl and CDs in Bristol catering for a very wide range of genres at all price points, we are also keen to buy as well as sell and happy to consider collections. Customer reviews of Plastic Wax Records Fantastic shop and really helpful staff. One of the better ones around the country, all presented well, clean and friendly atmosphere. Very good selection of secondhand vinyl, slightly overpriced at times and as usual in Bristol a lack of metal but an enjoyable trip down memory lane if you wanna to empty a wallet. Also the only record store that has survived since my teenage years. Rite Price, Replay and Disc N’ Tape have all fallen to the sword over the last 20 years. I can’t go into Plastic Wax without buying something. it’s worth having the membership card. I’ve saved the £3 membership many. many times over. Always a great selection of 70s and 80s music. It’s 20 years since I lived in Bristol and it’s always great to revisit my home city. Also brilliant to return here, where I spent so much of my time […]

Idle Hands is a Bristol based record shop and label set up by Chris Farrell in 2009. Starting life as a record label whilst Farrell was working alongside Peverelist at the now defunct Rooted Records, a shop which for many years had nurtured the nascent Dubstep scene in Bristol. The label was started to represent a resurgent house scene that was beginning to take shape in the slipstream of Dubstep – early releases from Peverelist, Kowton and Headhunter tapped into the the four four sound. Toward the end of 2010 when it became clear that Rooted Records would have to close the decision was taken by Farrell to carry the flame forward by opening his own shop. Idle Hands took its name from the label and opened its doors on Stokes Croft in February 2011. The aim of the shop has always been to represent the thriving dance music scene in the city by supporting local artists, labels and DJs – whilst also having an international perspective of stocking and reaching out to music producers from around the world. Several years later the shop has established itself as a leading record shop with a world wide reputation. Customer reviews of […]

The Vicious Squirrel is for lovers and collectors of vinyl. They endeavour to sell the interesting, both new and high quality used records for those still in love with the media, because of the depth and reality of the sound, the more tactile aspect of collecting, and the joy to be had from finding that long looked for record, either as a reissue or a hard to find ‘collectable’ that you happen across by chance. They are mostly an online retailers but you can come and visit and browse and listen on their high-end audio equipment and have a tea or coffee. They buy their stock of new records from specialist suppliers, and their quality used vinyl and collectables from individuals who have collections and individual items for sale. If you have items you think we may be interested in do contact them so they can discuss and arrange to give you a valuation.

Abbazappa is a vinyl record shop in Derry, Northern Ireland. Customer reviews of Abbazappa record shop The 140 mile round trip from Carrick was completely worth it, intended to pick up a few things from the £5 bins, left after converting £80 into happiness. I can’t overemphasise how essential a visit to Abbazappa is if you are in anyway interested in music, excellent selection and very reasonable prices. Had the family in tow so I didn’t really scratch the surface but I’ll definitely be back for a longer visit. Such a special place. Able to tell me whether my brother had certain products already! And rang their other shop to check for a t shirt size. Nothing is too much trouble for Ben. Great local record shop and hang out. Found out about this place yesterday, it’s a hidden gem. Red Skull Records was born from a simple need, a record store closer to home. Since the closure of HMV in 2013, Tamworth has been without a music store of any kind. So in early 2016 I started buying up as many records as i could. With spiraling town centre rent costs, Mrs Red Skull and I decided the best course of action was to build our own store on land belonging to family. And so was born a unique and quirky store, catering to the vinyl lover. They are Tamworth’s one and only record store! Not only that, they are (unofficially) the UK’s 4th smallest record store. Filled with pre-loved vinyl records and also a selection of CD’s and cassettes. All at great prices. They also sell many music related gifts, such as record bowls and framed artwork. Customer reviews of Red Skull Records Visited today for the first time. Friendly place with some great vinyl to choose from. Picked up my fave album and original 1977 press for a bargain price. I think I’ll be going there quite a lot to help build my collection. A cracking store, a pleasure to browse and very reasonable prices. Visited for […]

I’d never met David and Chun before but they are awesome and it was great to hear they love their music too. Of course, Mark is the big draw for a lot of us who knew him from his previous record shop life.

We plan on taking part in Balstock next year, which is quite big at the moment.” Customer reviews of Stylus Lounge Baldock Met a friend here last week, we are new mums so we both had a pushchair.
