After many year’s of trading as an online and mail order record shop Pete Bonner’s Psychotron Records opened a bricks and mortar shop in Sutton Coldfield in June 2016.
Opened by Midlands record collecting royalty Dan Reddington, this is the first newly opened record shop in the Birmingham area this century.
The shop will buy and sell second hand records and original 1960s’ poster art.
It will be stocked with collectible vinyl for the enthusiast, with cheaper records for those new to collecting to help them to get started.
Psychotron Records also buys and sells rare records and record collections. They often find a home for people that have been left loved one’s record collection and need a respectful and loving way for the records to finda new home.
An electrician by trade, Pete launched Psychotron Records 20 years ago and the mail order and online retailer has been his full-time job since 2000.
Pete says: “I am delighted to be opening a shop and giving young music fans the opportunity to experience what I did as a youth.
“Many current bands are again releasing their music on vinyl so it’s great to be able to explore the music that inspired them.”
